You normally can't send email via SMTP to a free provider (presumably to
prevent spam). Also most Internet providers don't allow posting unless you're
dialed into their lines. This means Steve won't be able to post.
I have a similar problem here at work. Luckily I can just relay my mail via
our company SMTP server.
BTW, NetScape Communicator (not a bad email program IMHO) can retrieve email
via a Socks proxy. Handy when you're behind a firewall :)
