Hi Everybody,
I've had a rather nasty thing happen...
First of all, I was on the internet when genesis suddenly went
offline, although the modem was still connected. I then found that
both the serial port and disk drive wouldn't work! I turned it off,
and back on for a bit and it worked again for a few minutes, but then
it died again.
To test some of the hardware, I ran a few demos on it. The sound
didn't work on just about all of them. Busted CIA right?
I then decided to leave it off for a bit (over night) to see if it'd
work again in the morning.
When I tried using it again, it wouldn't boot at all!
I've now had to swap all the bits with my old A1200 which has
problem: alot of the time it won't boot, the clock won't tick
(causing problems with the wait command and Genesis) and kboard
interface seems busted too, as it keeps printing out random chrs,
just 88ok 1h't happen' when I don't''''''''bother going back
and''''deleting the erro2s !!!!~!!
Although it could be the keyboard, I'm gonna try the other one...
Anyway, apart from buying another A1200, is there anything I can do to
fix them?
