either upgrade to 060 or PPC or use some of the command lines to
cut what it tries to play. reduce the quantisation and the 'p'
and add extra buffers.

I cant recall the command line options right now....but I'd suggest
that you download AmigaAmp from aminet (or go to Czech news and see
link for latest release) - this can be told to use mpega and it has a nice
gfx preferences where you can use sliders to change options for playback
