Maplin are good at that I started building the 5600s synth many years ago,
just so they could delete the key parts before completion. anyway the
TSOP18 is in the march-august 99 catalogue, I saw this one, but as you say,
is it compatible. My electronic knowledge is not up to that.

Farnell no joy but CPC was down so havn't been able to check yet.

No phun at all ;( I often will try and build something before buying one.
Feel happier messing with homemade stuff than hacksawing into production
gear.
