The battery in my Apollo 1260 is the fully soldered in type. If you need to replace it, you can ask Eyetech to do it, or DIY using an appropriate unit from Maplin. You probably won't get exactly the original type, but you can fiddle it in for a couple of quid or so. If anyone needs the relevant details, voltage, part number, etc, just get back to me.
