Who said anything about formatting a hard drive? (that was just a
hypothetical solution, I'm not aware of any software that actually
does this)
I don't see the harm in either the Shapeshifter or AmIRC methods. And
I don't know how it works, a corrupted keyfile may not have the same
effect as a known pirated one.
