Hello Don

That will explain how I bought a monitor and printer online
(www.novatech.co.uk) at very cheap prices and no postage then.
Yup it makes sense to me ;)
When you buy anything you need the full cost, not the advertised price plus
a large p&p that makes it uneconimic for smaller orders. No one will buy
anything under £50 if the p&p is so high. On to another thread, a good way
to stop Amiga piracy would be to supply things without an extra standing
charge, include any postage cost per item, then you get what you pay for.

Losing custom on many small orders is not a good way to make a profit. The
custom goes elsewhere. Then the vendor has no sale at all. How many other
orders have been lost because the buyer is not willing to pay so much for
p&p on a small item. The seller loses in the long run.
I would like to buy the TP upgrade from Eyetech, unlike some companies I
could mention they do have in stock what they advertise and no doubt will
refund if they do not have the goods to sell. But the postage needs to be
absorbed into the price of the items they sell and postage should be zero
to the buyer. Plus the buyer should not have to collect a parcel if they
happen to be at work when the post gets delivered like most of us.
Registered mail is a PITA. The buyer should get a discount for having to
accept registered mail.

Bill.
