That was why I was looking for an alternative ;)

I don't mind paying a reasonable postage rate for an order that costs a lot
to send. EG. I am extremely happy with my scanner I bought from you a while
back. But £3 to post a floppy disk is far too high and for smaller items
will drive customers elsewhere. That is business after all.

Yeah a vheap but heavy item will cost more to send than an ecpensive lioght
one. It is the weight that is the factor and a floppy is not exactly going
to cost even a first class stamp let alone £3.

But that is bad for the customer. When they are out it is often a long trek
to go and fetch the parcel at our own expense - an insult after being
charged for a "better" delivery.

I did several bulk orders for Digital niverse from Canada. It cost me less
than £1 to send out each CD plus a few extras. Not one went missing nor did
anyone claim any had gone missing. A 100% record using normal and cheap
post, abnd that included insurance if one CD did go missing and I needed to
replace one. No your p&p costs are just too high to be realistic for low
weight items :-(

I have bought items from Germany that cost less to send to me. That is not
right surely.

Fair enough, but I am sure they would allow you to send a floppy disk for
less than £3.

BTW. Apart from the postal rates I would like to say that I have no problem
with Eyetech and bought quite a few expensive items in the past where the
p&p was not an issue as it was a reasonable amount for the deal. I will
still buy stuff from Eyetech but not for orders less than £50 or the p&p is
proportionally just too high.

I am helping you Alan, you are turning customers away for smaller items.I
want you to sell the upgrade rather than people look elsewhere. BTW How
come the Eyeplay postage is only £2 for CD based games which are bound to
be lighter than a single floppy ?

Regards,

Bill.
