it is indeed terminated; as i set the required jumper to do so, on the drive
this is.

I put the hard disk in as per you suggestion with the cable etc. and still
no luck. However i did notice that the drive light on the A3K makes a very
faint flashing glimmer in rapid sucessions. I didn't notice this in broad
daylight. Also, the Quantum drive makes the drive light do the same thing
before it is accessed.

I'm going to try with both drives attached today, using a power splicer from
my 1200T....
