Well if you get a real DVD player (£150 or so) and disable macrovision, you
can copy the DVD to VHS tape ;)

It does - otherwise I'd be using it now on my A4000 (I have it on my A1200
with the £20 IDE interface I have in there. I don't fancy paying £80 though
for a soddin' dongle! And I'm short on zorro slots anyway :/ )

Yes. Tower up your A1200, get a zorro bus-board, get a zorro serial card.
