Subject: | Display corruption |
Greetings,
Up untill a week or so ago, everything on my system was working
perfectly; it ain't anymore. . .
My display is being trashed when I open windows; eg. If I am reading a
mail with yam, when I close the reader window, the underlying display has
been trashed; the same happens with Ibrowse when I open and close the
bookmark window, or the download window closes; or when I right click
over and image, or whatever 8\
It seems to be predominantly, but not restricted to MUI based windows.
Resizing the window removes the corruption.
The only software I've recently installed is Magellan II and WarpJpeg/PNG
datatypes; I can't imagine those being the problem (?), but I'll install
the 8.1/8.2 Mag' updates tonight to see if that does anything; failing
that I'll go back to a recent backup and see if I still have the problem.
. .
Maybe it's hardware related; over heating or summat; but I'm running with
the case off, so there's plenty of airflow.
I'm running a 1200T with PPC/060 and Bvision with the latest Cybergfx.
The system is rock solid, Long uptimes etc; it's just this goddamn
corruption.
Anyone had similar problems, and got them fixed?
Changing the subject. How can I stop my scsi CDrom (on blizzppc.device)
reseting when I reboot. It's annoying if I'm playing a CD and it stops
when I have to reboot :)
Andy.
