I'm surprised you haven't given up already. Because it would seem, that
this Boxer project is the work of a perfectionist and as a consequence will
probably never see the light of day, until it really is too late. So long
as spare A1200, A3000 and A4000 motherboards are around, I'll be quite
happy. :) I think however one of the problems with the more popular models
such as the A1200 and A4000 is that they use SMT, and since replacing a SMT
chip is so expensive compared to a whole new motherboard - often a whole
A1200 or 4000 could be binned because an 8520 has blown or something.

There's no real reason why if you look after your Amiga though (which
admittedly i don't, for example, hammering Zorro cards etc. in with my fists
etc. - Well the Picasso IV is not exactly the easiest thing to fit! :)) that
it should die. If you keep coffee away from them (My A2500 knows all about
that one!), keep them nice and clean and check the insides once in a while -
then i can't see why it should die. The Amiga motherboard that is.

If the new Amiga systems over time prove to have a competent and better than
UAE standard of Amiga Classic emulation, I'd be happy, but I'd like to see
it something better than just UAE, frankly I'd get a x86 box, install Linux and
use UAE... ;) Mind you, after using proper 040, now 060 and PPC performing
Amigas - it'll be hard to readjust to 030 and slower processing power
speeds. On a slightly off note - I never quite realised how fast the 060 is
compared to an 040/40!!

The way i see things are, don't worry about them - if they arrive, they
arrive. If you expect tghese things to happen when they say they will then
you'll be very disappointed person! Esp. as far as the Amiga market goes!
