Subject: | OS3.5 rom updates |
Hi,
I just got a 13Gb HDD and so I want to use the whole thing obviously. The
manual/faq's/etc all say that I need to use the v43 scsi.device which I get
with the rom updates.
Now, problem is when I have the "AmigaOS Rom Update" file in DEVS: my Amiga
won't boot. The "manual" says that the new scsi.device is probably incompatible
with my IDE hardware.
I've still got my 1Gb drive as the boot drive for now and I've got an old
Eyetech 4-way IDE buffered interface (no distinguishing version number or name
on it AFAICS) with wires 1 and 44 cut between it and the motherboard.
Would it be the interface, cable or maybe even the hard drives? BTW, I have no
way of checking them individually.
TIA.
