Hi All,
Okay been doing some research, this is a GVP 4060 card in the A4000 as I
suspected (it wasn't a Cyberstorm i knew that much, and looked very unlike
an Apollo), i just tried to get hold of an Amiga monitor from someone i
knoew because mine is dead :/ so i can't see what's on the screen at all.
If only my A520 modulator worked!! I did think of making a disk to install
multiscan drivers to DEVS:Monitor so i could at least see Workbench but
there's another problem, it runs DOpus Magellan (well i saw enough of it
before the machine mysteriously trashed the display and froze) so
envarc:sys/screenmode.prefs is ignored. :(
I have as i said put the card in my A3000 with none of the problems (it is
an A3000 of course, so that's why... ;)))) only kidding. ShowConfig showed
the board was there and working, but P96 needs KS3.0 to work so i can't
really test for sure, but the fact it worked shows the PIV is fine. (Whew!
:) Like I say, it's as soon as I've placed the card back in the A4K is
wreaks havoc, ie: it doesn't boot. It would be nice to see if the screen is
any particular colour, but i can't see anything at all because the A4K
insists on 15KHz, unlike the A3000....
As for the 060; i may try that in the A3000, though i'm not particularly
looking forward to removing the drive shelf if i do....
I have no other Zorro cards, except the GoldenGate 386 atm, but i'm not
going to remove that because it's quite delacate and a pain to fit back in
an A3000.
Somebody help!!!! Oh and i've also removed and reinserted the whole
daughter board, to no avail....
All the best,
