Amaretta ? Que ? Rings bells (sorry brand name joke there ;)
but can't quite place it - a brandy perhaps ?

Down here in Darkest Devon we aren't exactly known for our
diverse taste in spirits 'ysee. In fact the whole of the South West
of the UK is (supposedly) addicted to one drink only - cider :)

It may (or more likely not) be true but it does seem to have some strange
effects on the speech of those who do drink it :-

[Examples]

I say my good man, have you seen my cider ?

= Wheeerze me coider me 'andsome ?

I don't think you are going to manage to back your vehicle out of there

= Ow be nackin assin' backin outa there ?

Boy = bay
Girl = maid
Dog = dug
Tractor = janner

I think I'll stop there before I'm fLaMeD ;P

Thats a bunch of dissilusioned Irish citizens ?

Apologies for the intrusion into your InBox folks, normal transmission will
resume - er, well sometime soon I expect ;)

Cheers,
