how did it - and not the OS - forget its IP address?
as for auto-sensing/negotiation - which Network solutions company has told
you that it works and is reliable? even Cisco stuff doesnt get it right - or
perhaps it really is the 3com cards themselves arsing up.. hmm - must buy
new kit 8-)
