obviously ethernet is better but it comes down to simple finances,
i.e. I ain't spending 80 (for the X-Surf) or 150 (mediator plus pci
ethernet then wait for drivers) quid per machine.
never realised what envoy was before, cheers for telling me about it,
i'll keep it in mind for future reference.
btw, i was just going to be using it for networked doom at a user
group meeting, so it only needed to be a connection and sana-ii
drivers. it worked ok with magplip, but I'd like to try more machines.
