Hi folks
I've recently acquired an old A4000 CPU card that has a dead 040/25
processor on it. I have sourced a replacement processor, but there is a
slight version difference between the two, as stated below.
The chip that came off the CPU card is the following:
XC68040HRC25E
The one I have salvaged from an old Mac to replace it is the following:
XC68040RC25B
Dos anyone know if there are any electrical differences between the two
processors, or can I safely swap one for the other without frying the
chip/CPU card/computer (delete as appropriate)?
Cheers
Chris
