If I comment out the setpatch line, setpatch won't be loaded at all :)
My system works perfectly without any rom updates.
My system works perfectly when I "skipromupdates=scsi.device"
My system doesn't boot when I update the scsi.device (screen stays
black for ages, like when there's nothing connected to the IDE
interface and it's searching for the hard drives).
