It would be faster to write a translation layer than to adapt UAE
to suit the task..

It would also allow for shitty quick ports of ageing Amiga software
without the benefits of the new API's or any new features.
If you want to open a window in Elate, open a damn window IN Elate.
Enabling emulation API's and layers this early on is a bad idea as it
encourages people just to port and forget.
