hi,

...and AGP would be useless on an A1200 expansion board. the thing is
limited to just under ZIII rates...and AGP cards running at 21MB/s
will be practically a waste of money. best to get PCI gfx cards that are
also way underused at that speed and have done with it.

you give 'AGP' to the Amiga like this and people will be expecting to stick
in GeForce2 gfx cards in their Amigas and getting >100fps in Quake clones
Sorry, but GeForce2 in a PC AGP4x slot is getting over 600MB/s bandwidth
WAY WAY beyond what this 'lets see which final bit of PC architecture we can
bodge onto an A1200 motherboard' solution will give,.

its time for a new Amiga motherboard with this sort of hardware on it, NO
MORE kludges.

i'd like to say 'BoXeR' at this point Matt, but I'm afraid that any solution
over 200 ukp is a no-go. At the BoXeR price you may as well give up on Amiga
hardware. Even 200 is over 3x more than a decent PC motherboard - but I'd
be willing to pay this to get a 'Next generation classic' system.

A1400 anyone? :-)
