Have you tried setting the "WIDESCSI" tooltype in the HDToolBox icon?

SCSIConfig as supplied by P5 should also work. Please note that the
various hd setup utilities use different algorithms for calculating
drive sizes and are generally not compatible (fx. OS3.1 HDToolBox is
*not* compatible with OS3.5 HDTB).
