I know. Part of the mail you are replying to asked why DCE couldn't licence
someone in the UK to do it. If DCE did that, then they would have the
schematics for the equipment. You see? :-)

Can't imagine why, myself. A lot of people (myself included) are reluctant
to send expensive kit abroad (not just to Germany) so if DCE could get a
licensed UK repairer, it would solve this reluctancy. OK, so you could get
Eyetech or Power to send it to them and handle it all for you, but that's
another expense.
As it stands I'm going to get Eyetech/Power to send it across (probably
Power, given recent problems with Eyetech. If something goes wrong whilst
they are repairing the PPC, I'd half expect Eyetech to blame it on me!)
