eh? AA contains almost the best environment for Amiga readers without saying
'Amiga is all there is'. the only mag that could beat it, historically, is
AUI. If you want more general computing info, then buy somethign like
PC Today

what do you expect? Vapor to be printed instead? Of course you can read it
online first, because mags are a month behind. its the same with ALL hobbies
and even the real-world news. news.bbc.co.uk makes BBC1 look stale when the
6 o'clock news comes on TV

I, personally, like these pages

held mine.

how can it be done to death? Only this year is the 15th anniversary. if you
mean some of the info then sure! thats called history, luckily a lot less of
the usual gurgitated info was printed and quite a bit a fresh info was there.

this month there was more space available (and it doesnt 'suck' - its just
got a few word-publishing holes). If PS had been reviewed this month I guess
it would have had the three pages....but I'd prefer having a review when a
review is ready than hold for an extra page.
ALSO far more people use word-processors than DTP.

????? WTF do you want. an interactive magazine that is only tailored to you?
A1200 towers are still the number 1 selling hardware item for A1200's.
I also already have an A1200 tower...but its a MicroniK early edition and
I'm still tempted to move it into a new one. PowerTower was my idea...now I
am looking at the Z4.

Pagestream doesnt interested me..I've already got the DTP package I need. it
doesnt matter! Art is the highest Amiga productivity use. Art packages have
always been of high interest historically, and still are.

> YAM2.1 : I already decided YAM sucks thanks. Guess? :)

I guess you've never used a decent email program. or perhaps you didnt read
on how to use YAM.

I use multi-hundred mail packages at work...or rather , I *could* use them.
so...what do I use? elm or pine. why? because after using YAM I cant stand
any of the other GUI based systems out there....yes, even the 'best' open
source ones.

> Imagaine : not interested. 3 easy ways to make a Boing ball, lame.

we've had discusions about Imagine tutorials already...you want 3 pages
taken up on a more sophisticated tutorial? Why....just pop over to the
imagine web site...more tutorials than anyone will ever need :-)

> Shareware :
> Amtelnet is a rip off.

..still shareware though. How can you decide the value worth of shareware?
People do register it...so people do believe its worth it. I, for one,
use Term with its telser.device.

> TView, I don't watch TV that much.

..it shows ;-)

> SimpleFTP, opus is fine thanks.

..if you've got Opus.

> Mah-Jong, great game. but nothing beats the ZX spectrum version. :)

the XWindows version is best

> Programming in C : No thanks. DHTML and PHP do me.

you wouldnt have those without C ;-)

back2roots has legal games. they're not bad. but if top games were on a
pay-to-download, then I'd do it.

> Payback: looks nice.

..if you like that sort of thing ;-)

> Ultimate XTReme Racing : It's essentially 5 years old ffs.

so is Payback ;-)

it is...but with whinging people like you around it seems that even with one
existing shlef-mag, people arent happy :-|
