I do - it's just not in the right place. I've seen those pins on my
motherboard before and naturally assumed they were the clock port, as I have
not read any literature anywhere that says there are some defective
motherboards.

I'm not blaming you for selling it to me - that's your job - I'm 'blaming'
you for not including information in your advert that some motherboards (and
from the number of people who've told me their board is the same, it's not
that rare a problem) have defective clock port arrangements and are
incompatible. I've already brought to the lists attention that in your
advert you have a large portion of text directly above the clockport
products that explains various aspects of the port - why not have this
'disclaimer' text in there? There's plenty of room!
And this has nothing to do with PowerPC repairing. Most of this 'argument'
has been carried out on the AFB, so a large portion of subscribers to this
list won't have a clue what's going on.
I'm prepared to let it drop now though, because your sales orders team have
informed me that a 'part exchange' of the (perfectly alright) PortJnr for
OS3.5 is acceptable and that the restocking fee will come under the price
difference.
Of course, I'm only assuming the PortJnr is alright. I can't test it due to
my defective clockport (which I acknowledge is not Eyetech's fault, it is
Commodore's fault for hiring pissed engineers ;-) but unless it was shipped
faulty, I see no reason why the PortJnr is also defective.
