Many people have said that, and there is a good reason. A sound circuit
is a D to A converter followed by an output driver. The Amiga output
circuit can deliver more current than that on some of the cheap sound
cards in PCs. The Amiga sound is crude but punchy, like a TR909.

Poor output circuitry is typical of low-grade consumer audio gear. Often
the headphones output provides a better driver for the power amp than
the line output.

However, a well engineered PC sound card should sound noticeably better
than any Paula on good material.
