I use http://www.clicknames.net and they sell for £8.81 including VAT.
They are cheaper than most for altering details as well so it balances
it out. Plus, they have a web-based method for altering those details,
so no screwy emailing :)
For .com/.net/.org I would recommend http://www.dotster.com
Make sure you have a place to hold the DNS entries though, and
preferably a place to host the site as well. Registering domain names
that point to nowhere would be dumb ;)
