Subject: | Opus Magellan curiosity |
Greets,
Recently I got out my A3000, which I keep as a 'reserve' machine
and don't use often, and I installed Opus 5.66 on it in WB
replacement mode. This has been running on my A4000 for quite a
long time.
Next time I started up the A3k, Opus loaded up ok and I loaded a
floppy in DF0. To my surprise all _device_ icons disappeared briefly,
and the reappeared in 2 rows as 'default style' icons. Left out
drawers were unaffected.
I stared at this for a while and then selected "Reset" in the Opus
icons menu. All icons then returned to my own style and positions.
I then removed the floppy disk and the DF0 icon disappeared. When I
replaced the disk its icon reappeared and all icons were still normal.
So this curiosity only happens the first time I load a floppy after
boot-up. And it doesn't happen on my A4000. Moreover it doesn't
happen on the A3k if I use the original WBstartup (booting with
shift key held down). So it seems to be something in Opus - maybe a
wrong or missing environment setting?
Any suggestions?
John
