More accurately, people with dyslexia (and similar problems) are usually
normal in all other respects. Just like people with short sight.

This is in contrast to some other inborn problems which affect you in a
variety of ways, such as chromosome defects.

Dyslexia itself is a defect, which can be just a nuisance or at its
worst can totally disrupt your education.
