whoah! if that *is* real, then its definately better to go 100% PPC native
for running operations like this. Perhaps even for things Like Imagine CUP :-)
'whether its accurate of not' - thats easy. just make it do some real
blocks and time the real-time taken. from 800 to 1,170 is a big speed
difference.. check your logs for old real times taken for 28^2 RC5 block
and then time a block on MorphOS. If you DO get that 40% increase, let us
know!
somehow, I seriously doubt that there will be such a big difference. I've
run the LinuxPPC client on my machine and that gives practically the same
speed as the AmigaOS client.... so I lose 143kkeys/s thanks to my unusable
060 under LinuxPPC
