Hey Alan,

That is a very good point, but on the other have I do not have the
hardware to run any of that software. (but it is on order). I had
Kickstart 3 ROMS so couldn't use OS3.5, no PPC or 3DGraphx card so that
rules those out ad I already own DOpus Magellan II.

Temptation is there and I would give in to the temptation if the software
was not available. Saying that though, the price of Heretic II which I saw
advertised for 40ukp is way too high. People wonder why PSX piracy is
huge and why as a result the N64 is not as popular as it could have been.
With the difficulty that it is to copy N64 games, the console has been
less successful than competitors.

The PSX has dropped it's games prices with many new releases at 30ukp
(still too much IMO) and Platinum at 20ukp (at high street prices). The
PSX market is gone a little in the way the Amiga market it did with people
bringing out crap games charging sky high prices and complaining about
piracy when the games sell badly. With the price of PSX games, people
have the sense to read reviews before going out and buying a game.

Piracy both makes and breaks a format and we see it time and time again.
It hasn't broken the PSX like it did the Amiga, but other factors like C=
failures were involved in Amiga's fal from grace.

That is very true. There is the Amiga Anti-piracy site. If you were to
pass on information to them, would they deal with it?
