Sort of. You can connect 2 ide drives to the port on the a1200
motherboard
directly with the right cable or adaptor. I know you can, because I've
done
it, but it's not usually recommended. Also, If you want more than 2, you
will
need a new interface.

At 30 quid you're about half way towards the cost of a powerflyer,
which would be a lot nicer. You pays your money and you takes your
choice...
