Not in my book :) I guess it does depend on what you mean by "normal"
in the first place, though. Depending on circumstances, calling a
person "normal" could either be a compliment or an insult. At the end
of the day, in these contexts, all "normal" means is that you are
similar to the majority, with regards to the subject matter. Where
Dyslexia is concerned, I would imagine most people would like to be in
that majority. However, most would probably enjoy being abnormally
intelligent, good-looking, rich, etc. Personally, it isn't a question
that occupies my mind a great deal. Measuring "normality" has a place
in medical and educational environs, in so far as ensuring that people
are healthy and get the best education. Asides from that, it's just
another way of pigeon-holing people, of trying to apply stereotypes,
and of trying to make oneself look better, by holding another up to
ridicule. I don't have time for that. As far as the particular subject
is concerned, I'm intelligent enough to work out what Andrew is trying
to communicate, and reply to him accordingly. It seems some people
either aren't as intelligent, or just need to look big :(
