I'd heard about that. I assume that many WinUAE users are doing this.
More than Amiga users or am I just being niave.

The difference between piracy on the Amiga and PSX though is the prices.
I'm not saying either way whether I condone it or not, but you can
understand people going out getting their PSX chipped and paying a fiver
for a game. Paying fifty pounds (now thirty pounds) for a game working
out it is crap. I know it is a big arguement, but I'm sure the games
companies would lose less money if the games were cheaper. I like to have
a nice case/box, cover and manual, but as these can be downloaded you can
understand people taking the cheaper option.

There have been some PSX games I bought straight away like GT2, ISS Pro
Evolution and WWF Smackdown. The problem with 2nd hand is the state that
they may be in. I like as good as new quality.
BTW FIFA2000 does not compare to ISS Pro Evolution. FIFA has great
commentry and real names, but is jerky slow and unrealistic (to much like
an arcade game than simulation). ISS has *crap* commentry but is
brilliant.

You might find some game developers will disagree a little there. True it
hasn't effect the popularity of the PSX, but it has effected the wallets
of the developers and publishers. Look at Quake II and Dino Crisis both
fell below expected standards. I saw a crack for Colin McRae II on the
net a couple of days after it was out.
The sad realities of life.
