Ah, we can theorize about finance, but there is also the psychology of
the pirate: when something is already ravaged and easy pickin's, there
are likely to be some buzzards who will take further pecks from the
corpse-to-be. If we were talking "healthy" in the first place, many
would be reluctant to swoop in. They are, after all, weak themselves.

That's one model. But in a healthier market, one can actually make a
living using the conventional model. No apologies, no excuses, value
delivered and received.
