Yeah, that is a problem. I can't really see many ways to combat it.

Dreamcast doesn't seem to have a pirate scene at the moment. Mainly because
of their GD-ROM drive technology. AFAIK, no-one has the ability to copy
them. I'm doubting you'll be seeing GD-R in the shops as well.
Anyway, idea for Amiga to combat piracy. This is right off the top of my
head so it probably isn't perfect, but I'll just type and see what comes
out.
Anyway, how about some digital encoding on each disk? Something that makes
it difficult (probably not impossible) to copy. When someone tries to copy
it instead of a data file they just get a load of audio noise or fuzz.
