That's totally irrelevant. The messages have content, your "disclaimer"
is in addition to any content.

The time costs though. It's not such a big deal when you're the only one
doing it, but the idea is catching on among companies. As more adopt it,
the overall load on the networks is increased. This is especially true
with mailing lists. Your "disclaimer" travelled some six thousand miles
to get to me, even though I'm only three miles from you.
It's a complete waste of time anyway, an indication of how little people
that do these things actually think. If they really wanted a
comprehensive disclaimer, it could be achieved with one line...

I wonder about the legal standing of your disclaimers anyway. They are
received after the mail. It's not as though one could read it and decide
not to risk downloading the mail. It's the output of a typical local
government jobsworth.
