Ow man..

It really saddens me to see some people still having trouble with their
ppc/bvpp combo.. Most of the people on this list have managed to solve most
of their problems, using the variety of methods that have been discovered
in the past.
Most of the solutions (the best?) are indeed still on this list'support
site, which is at http://rvoppc.webjump.com/ but yeah, the server sucks,
the banners too and it is damn slow. I will try to host a mirror site soon,
to make it easier for you lot.
The problem is, as I mentioned before, there's no such thing as the Perfect
Solution (tm), we all solved our problems in a different way, trying out
the things that others tried, before adding our own ideas.
In the end, it is possible that none of the solutions work, this happened
for me and a few others on this list. We we're lucky to have our ppc boards
fixed before Phase5 went under, for me this was about a year ago. Until
now, I havent had a single sign of overheating/unstability whatsoever,
everything has been running fine for 24h a day. All software runs, I dont
have any fans, I dont have extra power on the motherboard, I havent removed
heatsinks nor added new ones, and there's no metal things inside my ppc board
(the idea sounds too scary already).
For some this may sound unbelievable, but believe me, it is a fact. The
'fixing'I told you about has become known as a 're-fix' and Im afraid that
for some this truely IS the only, and final solution. By all means, try to
contact DCE, ask them if they're doing the same re-fix as Phase5 did, and
send the board away.
You wont regret it at all, believe me.
