You can get little books describing how to solve the cube. I can'r
recall the details now, but IIRC you solve the cross in the middle and
then the corners. Anyway it is (I think) a three stage process.
I don't think it would be all that hard to program. The rules as
set out in the book are pretty straight forward.
You might try looking in discount bookshops (or one of the on-line
book or toy shops may have a search facility).
I used to have one here, but goodness only knows where.
