The only thing that I can think of is the blitz.library that RWE were writing.
Its a standard shared library that had commands for doing things like that I
think. Basically it was the Blitz compiler in a shared lib.
I don't know if it was ever finished, and I know the library was never
released. However, I'm sure the source (68k ASM) and maybe some docs are on the
freeblitz site (http://www.ldngedge.demon.co.uk/).
