OK, ignore me, I found out why it was happening.

The problem was I was making id have values such as normal numbers,
such as 1, 2, etc, and it has to be a value made up from 4 letters,
using the MAKE_ID macro. Its not made clear this *must* be the case
in
the RKRM's (or at least, thats my excuse :).
