Just to expand and explain what Nick has said - the boopsi class "GADGETCLASS" does not have its own imagery, so your code created it, but did not have anything to draw. There is a subclass "frbuttongclass" which uses one of the image class objects automatically. You can create your own image boopsi objects and attach them to GADGETCLASS objects with one of the tags, so they can appear any way you like. I think there is an example in the RKMs of how to attach the system arrow image objects (such as those in workbench windows) to gadgets.
