Subject: | AMIOPEN: Playing around with the SDK |
As people with problems tend to be more vocal than people who don't,
one could almost get the impression that installing the SDK is a
process fraught with error messages, pitfalls, and hyppopotamus-filled
water holes.
In a sense I almost feel deprived, as my copy installed and ran first
time without a hitch.
Like everyone else, no doubt, I spent the next half hour chucking boing
balls around.
Now, a few days later, I'm getting somewhat nauseated by the spectral
monstrosity that Tao call a GUI colour scheme. Chunky yellow on black
indeed!
It therefor suprises me that there isn't yet a flood of screenshots of
customised AVE setups. Maybe it's because the default.prp file is so
poorly documented. Or maybe people are too lazy. Or maybe people are too
busy. Or maybe my taste in colour schemes has gone horribly askew somewhere.
In any case, I've started to hack at the default.prp file. Does anyone
know how to change the dragbar colour? Does the SDK already include a tool
to edit these settings (other than editing by hand with a text editor)?
While I'm on the subject of nearly-undocumented settings, is there a
document somewhere describing the arguments the demos can take?
"demo/ave/freebal -f0 -v0" is kind of fun.
