Subject: | AMIOPEN: pthread Emulation |
Hi,
I was just looking into quick ports of a sql server type thinges
(postgreSQL / mySQL), well basicly it isent going to happen soon,
one thing that stod out as a real problem was pthreads, which quite
a fair old chunk of software seems to need.
Looking into it (but not to far cos it looks scary, in there) it
that there is a fiar portion of asm in there that needs to be
converted, (thread context switching), but that should be about it.
The question is this,.. POSIX.1 (as supported by Tao), does not
include any pthreads API calls (as far as i can tell), now tao say
they have a complete POSIX.1 emu and .4 in the works. So its the
pthreads stuff just well hidden, or are tao working on it, or is
it just non existant ?
regards,
