Ja, but still the original argument for doing vector based icons would
enhance readability and flexibility of the interface. As said, this
idea has been brought up before, also on other forums for Gateways
Amiga plans, etc. MacOS X uses it, Next uses it, and SGI uses it too.
Personally I don't mind having smaller gadgets and icons, but in Windows,
the feature to change the gadget size in a kind of 'stepless' way is used
by quite some people, I think. On my SGI account, I played with icon size
until I found a size that suited me most. Hopefully icon design shouldn't
become too hard, though.
(Windows non-power-of-two rescales of bitmapped icons are brrr.. quite ugly).
