After a few weeks of brewing over something as simple as opening a
window and coming to the conclusion that it wasn't my source at all I
found the ewinease tarball and noticed the system("sleep 1"); right
after the ave_open() call.
Well, seeing that just made my day as after I added it to my source, it
suddenly started working. Now my question is when is such a limiting
race condition going to be fixed by whomever needs to fix it? :)
On another note, if we had a fork() execvp(), and inet_aton(), we'd have
a working rsync (my current work on it is stuck at those points..)
