Hey I think a Windows hosted SDK is a great idea. You can say the time for
windows is coming to an end but the fact right now is that windows has
upwards of 95% of the desktop market share....Linux is running in to the 20%
share in servers, but you also have to look at the revenue side. Most of
those linuxes are free and the revenue generated by that 20% share is
peanuts compared to the windows nt/2000 revenue.

There are also many times over more windows based developers than linux
ones. Every developer at my work uses windows as their platform...They'd be
more apt to look at something that can run on their OS than to fiddle and
fart around with linux.
