This isn't about myself -- this is about what's best for Amiga
developers. I've been helping people on amiganet/#developer try to
get their respective Linuxes working (including even telnetting into
their boxes and fixing their system configurations). All of these
developers happen to have working Windows machines, meaning that a lot
of time is being wasted that could be spent learning VP programming
and porting things to the new Amiga. The cost of entry for the Linux
SDK is simply too high for some people, who will never attempt to get
it running even though they are excited about the new Amiga
technology itself.

Obviously, *I* don't have a problem getting the SDK up and running
under Linux, but others do. I'm speaking on behalf of them -- not
myself.

I'm sorry if you feel I'm trying to bite Aaron's head off, but I do
feel it's somewhat arrogant to say that the SDK shouldn't be released
for Windows -- which is the same as saying that these developers
(several on this list) should be forced to install Linux to use the
SDK, or they shouldn't use it at all. We're talking about an SDK --
it's for developers, not end users. Several Windows developers are
courageously getting Linux installed (or trying to) to get the SDK
working -- if they're willing to do this, they're certainly up to the
challenge of installing and using the SDK.
