I don't think 'everyone' is all that interested; in fact, a contingent of
people will probably never touch an SDK out of principle (without expressing
my opinion of THAT stance...).
OTOH, there's no such thing as "just dual boot" if you're a busy fella (or
gal). I can't think of anything more inconvenient than having to use Win for
day to day stuff while trying to work on Ami under another OS.
I can think of a dozen reasons pro and con, but the bottom line is that
nobody is being forced to use anything in particular. What Ami needs is a
lot of people examining it from as many angles as possible, and multiple OS
support for the SDK achieves just that.
