If Matrox is truly on board with AI, then this should have been
addressed already. (-: Probably too many distractions with packaging a
windoze SDK... :-)

That problem is with the service provider and falls once again to the
monopoly effects; unless some customers demand access through
alternatives we are all doomed to the black hole. If the service
provider won't supply Linux drivers for an internal ADSL card, demand
an external ADSL modem and be done with it.

Possibly a Linux installation oversight on your part. NTFS is a fully
supported filesystem option according to my O'Reilly "Running Linux"
documentation. Also listed are options for AFFS (Amiga Fast File
System), QNX4 (interesting...), BFS (Mac), VFAT and about a dozen
others that you will never be able to use with NT. ;-)
I didn't copy the kernel source tree to HD on my first install, so I
can't check the RH 6.1 distribution for this immediately; but
supported file system types can be found in "/usr/src/linux/fs".
Having learned more on where all the parts are recently, I'll be doing
a Linux update install soon and adding in new devs and drivers,
including trying out "affs" on my SCSI chain.

Is there a USB driver for NT now??? I remember a lot of whining from
NT lists just a few months back that Micro$haft never produced one.
Of course, Linux has a tremendously active community, so with USB and
the FireWire specs being available, I'm sure those drivers will be
added soon, especially now that substantial numbers of peripherals
that use the standards are apearing in the market. Accessing the VTNT
hardware from Linux and other alternatives is up to making the demands
for that on NewTek. (-: hint :-)
